Get started with crochet by learning simple basic stitches. With just a few basics you will be able to complete loads on patterns!
A common stitch that you will need to know is a very simple one, slip stitch (ss)
This example shows a chain of four stitches being joined to form a ring, there are other instances where you would use a slip stitch and the method is the same.
1. In this example we have four chain stitches on the hook. Insert the hook thought the first stitch (the furthest stitch from the hook).
2. Wrap your yarn around the back of your hook and over to the front.
3. Use the hook to pull the yarn through the loop.
