This is a really simple idea that is quick to do. I’ve been hanging onto this cushion cover as I love the embroidery on it but the zip is bust and I have not got around to finding a new one for it.
So as my peg bag was very much past it’s best I decided it was time to make a new one. The old one was made with the same method about 13 years ago so it had lasted well!
You will need
A cushion cover – One with an opening in the panel as opposed to along the seam.
A coat hanger
- Select a coat hanger that is roughly the same width as your cushion cover. The flatter ones work best.
- Halfway along the top seam push through the hook of the hanger and tuck the hanger inside.
- Sew the opening of the cover about a quarter to a third of the way in each side.
- Fill with pegs!
