Cushion Cover Peg Bag

This is a really simple idea that is quick to do. I’ve been hanging onto this cushion cover as I love the embroidery on it but the zip is bust and I have not got around to finding a new one for it.

So as my peg bag was very much past it’s best I decided it was time to make a new one. The old one was made with the same method about 13 years ago so it had lasted well!

You will need

A cushion cover – One with an opening in the panel as opposed to along the seam.
A coat hanger

How to

  1. Select a coat hanger that is roughly the same width as your cushion cover. The flatter ones work best.
  2. Halfway along the top seam push through the hook of the hanger and tuck the hanger inside.
  3. Sew the opening of the cover about a quarter to a third of the way in each side.
  4. Fill with pegs!
