Free Stripy Egg Cosy Pattern

How cute is this stripy egg cosy from Janine at Trashtasticknits?! She has very kindly shared her pattern with us ….

With light blue cast on 34 stiches.

Knit 4 rows (light blue)
Next row: Change colour to white and *knit one row,
Next row: purl one row.
Next row: Change colour to light blue knit one row,
Next row: purl one row.

Continue changing colour (light blue and white) until you have worked 14 rows.

Next row: Change colour and knit 2 stitches together across the row.
Next row: Slip 1 and purl 2 stitches across row.
Next row: Slip 1 and knit 2 stiches across row.

Leave the remaining stitches on the pin and cut the yarn.

Thread the yarn through the remaining stitches that are left on the pin.

Gather and secure.

Join the sides matching the stripes together and sew up. Sew in any loose ends and your egg cosy is ready.
