How To Make Rag Bunting

Rag bunting is relatively quick to make and looks really lovely blowing in the breeze.

What we used

Old single duvet cover
Pinking sheers

What we did

  1. I made this from a old single duvet cover, cutting width ways in to 3-4 inch strips and then cut the resulting loop at both ends. I kept one loop full length (double width) for the base of my bunting. To cut the strips I used pinking sheers
  2. Folding the strip in half I looped it around the longer strip using a simple larks foot/cow hitch knot.
  3. Continue tying the strips along the length of the bunting leaving only a small gap between each until you have your desired length.
  4. You can use the strips to tie the bunting in place.
