We are feeling incredibly lucky to have such a fab panel to help us decide on who will receive our Gold, Silver & Bronze awards at the Time & Tide exhibition in January.
A huge thank you to ….
Jennifer Devaney, the Creator and Director of The House Of Alchemy.
Jennifer uses traditional techniques and dramatic styles to redesign furniture that become pieces of Functional Art. Sustainability is important to her and she believes there is no better achievement than in bringing magic to old and discarded items.
Paul Parry of Bad Dog Designs
Paul creates Nixie clocks, these are a rather obscure type of clock using a 1950′s technology – long since obsolete that displays the time, using salvaged tubes and recycled test equipment to make the casings of the clocks.
MJ Ryle of The Purple Finch
Artist MJ Ryle uses reclaimed materials and furniture as her canvasses of choice and applies a variety of mediums from painting in wood stains to working in resin. Her artwork reflects her passion for nature, ranging from elegant to quirky, with surreal and whimsical undertones. MJ’s work has been featured in Reclaim magazine, Reloved magazine and recently in an award-winning exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (2016).
